The Ministry of Education is collecting information through this TESSOL Scholarships 2026 Application to support the administration, assessment, and allocation of TESSOL Scholarships.

- Evaluate and prioritise scholarship applications against the selection criteria.
- Communicate with you regarding your application.
- Administer and monitor scholarship recipients, where relevant.
- Inform reporting and programme evaluation activities relating to the TESSOL Scholarships initiative.
The information you provide will be accessed only by authorised Ministry of Education staff involved in administering the TESSOL Scholarships programme. Information may also be shared with members of scholarship assessment panels where necessary for the purposes of evaluating applications and allocations of scholarships.
If granted a TESSOL scholarship, the Ministry of Education may contact your chosen university to confirm your enrolment and successful completion of the courses. We may also pass your name and email address to your university to assist with enrolment processes.
All information will be securely stored and managed in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.
Any reporting on the TESSOL Scholarships programme will be presented in a way that does not identify individual applicants without their consent.

- Completed supplementary information form signed by your principal
- Education institution number
It would also be helpful to have the following information:
- Total number of students enrolled
- Number of staff with TESSOL qualifications
- Total number of ESOL funded students
- Number of ESOL funded students from a migrant and former refugee background
- Number of ESOL funded students from a Pacific background
- Number of international fee-paying students
