2027- Kaupapa Māori | Māori Medium Employment Based Initial Teacher Education (EBITE) Funding Award

Eligible schools | kura can apply for funding to support a Limited Authority to Teach (LAT) holder through an approved EBITE programme. LAT holders receive up to $20,000 over two years towards course fees and induction costs (for example, attending noho/wānanga). Schools | kura receive funding over the two years for mentoring and release time for the LAT student teacher.

The information collected will be used by Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga | The Ministry of Education. First and last names will be disclosed with the relevant Initial Teacher Education providers, only for the purpose of confirming enrolment or study status of participating LAT student teachers.
